Nzeve Deaf Centre proudly participated in the NANGO 2026 Eastern Region NGO EXPO & Winter School, held at Meikles Park, Mutare, from 16–17 July 2026.
Held under the theme, “Fortifying Inclusive Civic Spaces and Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships to Maximise Development Impact,” the Expo brought together civil society organisations, development partners, government representatives, and members of the public to network, exchange ideas, and showcase their work.
Over the two-day event, the Nzeve Deaf Centre exhibition stand welcomed visitors from across the region who came to learn more about our programmes and services. The Expo provided an excellent platform to raise awareness about disability inclusion, engage with stakeholders, and strengthen partnerships that advance the rights and inclusion of Deaf people and persons with disabilities.
A highlight of our participation was a free Basic Sign Language session, where participants had the opportunity to learn simple everyday signs and gain a better appreciation of inclusive communication. The session attracted enthusiastic participation and reinforced the importance of making communication accessible to everyone.
We sincerely thank everyone who visited our stand, took an interest in our work, and participated in our activities throughout the Expo. We also extend our appreciation to NANGO for organising a successful event that continues to strengthen collaboration across the civil society sector.
We look forward to building on the connections made during the Expo as we continue working towards a more inclusive society where Deaf people and persons with disabilities can fully participate and thrive.
