Who We Are

Nzeve Deaf Centre, a registered PVO (22/2005), is an organisation of Deaf and hearing people working to promote the rights of children and youth with disabilities. Based in Mutare, in the high-density suburb of Sakubva in Manicaland Province, the Centre works closely with communities to advance inclusion and equal opportunities.

Over the years, Nzeve Deaf Centre has expanded its work from a primary focus on deaf communities to include children and adults with other disabilities. Through rehabilitation services and economic strengthening support, the organisation continues to respond to the diverse needs of persons with disabilities.

Nzeve Deaf Centre works with families and communities to foster inclusion through family-centred approaches, disability inclusion awareness and community dialogues. Its programmes reach persons with disabilities and their families across both urban and rural areas of Manicaland Province.

Our Area of Operation

Nzeve Deaf Centre works across all seven districts of Manicaland Province, reaching children, youth, families and communities in both urban and rural areas. Through community-based programmes, rehabilitation services, inclusive education, health initiatives and economic empowerment activities, we support persons with disabilities to participate fully in society.

Our work is rooted in collaboration with communities, local leaders, schools, health facilities and organisations to promote disability inclusion, equal opportunities and sustainable development throughout the province.
